Altrusa International, Inc. of Austin
Altrusa International is an association of professional women and men who volunteer their energies and expertise in projects dedicated to improve the community in which they live. Begun in 1917, this dynamic organization has changed thousands of lives and communities by the service Altrusans have given.
The Austin Altrusa Club was the first club organized in the state of Texas, forming in April of 1923. This year marks the 85th anniversary of Altrusa in Austin and in Texas. We celebrate the accomplishments of thousands of Altrusans over the past 87 years and look forward to many more.
